Ramble Provisions Opens Flagship Store in Eau Claire, WI
Sep 16, 2025
Eau Claire, WI – What started in a garage during the height of COVID has grown into one of the Chippewa Valley’s newest retail destinations. Ramble Provisions, a western-inspired lifestyle brand, marked its five-year anniversary this August by opening a flagship store inside Eau Claire’s historic Banbury Place.
Founder Brett DeJager, a full-time educator and longtime rodeo fan, said Ramble began as a creative outlet in 2020 when he was spending more time at home.
“I started it in my garage with hat blanks and a press,” DeJager explained. “I’ve always been drawn to rodeo, the outdoors, and western culture. Ramble really just lent itself to me — it was something I could create that reflected the things I love.”
Since those garage days, Ramble has grown steadily, building a loyal following for its small-batch snapback hats and graphic tees. But DeJager said hitting the five-year mark feels especially meaningful.
“Looking back, a lot has changed,” he said. “Ramble has grown and experienced ups and downs. I’m honestly just proud to have made it five years. It went by fast, but it proves there’s opportunity in this industry, even if there are growing pains along the way.”
Why Eau Claire? Why Banbury Place?
When it came time to open a physical store, Eau Claire was at the top of the list.
“I’ve always been fascinated with Banbury Place,” DeJager said. “It’s a beautiful old building with so much history, filled with artists, vintage shops, and makers. When the opportunity came up for a space, it felt like the perfect fit. We’re excited to make our home here and grow with this community.”
In-Store Exclusives
While Ramble’s online shop continues to offer its signature products, the Eau Claire flagship gives customers something different.
The store features a curated selection of goods from U.S.-based brands alongside Ramble’s own collections. The in-store shelves also carry expanded women’s apparel, accessories, and products customers won’t find online.
“Our snapbacks remain our best-selling line, but the store allows us to expand,” DeJager said. “We’re working on designing our own belt buckles, leather goods, flannels, and jean jackets. Those are all in development, and Eau Claire will be the first place people will see them.”
A Warm Welcome
The grand opening, held August 23rd, drew a crowd of supporters.
“The community response has been amazing,” DeJager said. “Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming. We’re new here, but we’re excited to plant roots in Eau Claire, host events, collaborate locally, and see where this journey takes us.”
The Spirit of Ramble
For DeJager, what sets Ramble apart is simple: authenticity.
“There are a lot of great brands out there,” he admitted. “But for us, we only make products we’d wear ourselves. If it doesn’t meet that standard, we won’t make it or sell it. Quality and authenticity are what drive everything we do.”
